Video Beans streaming Video Hosting

What is "Streaming?"
Streaming hosting allows the user to begin viewing video clips stored on our server, without first downloading the entire file. After a brief period of initializing and buffering, the file will begin to stream - or play - in real time.

All Video Beans Hosting includes:

Dynamic Streaming: which allows for quick starts and instant seeking to not-yet-downloaded parts. Our bitrate switching technology delivers the optimal quality to any client, seamlessly switching if bandwidth conditions change. Our fallback logic allows users on mobile devices (such as the iPhone) or computers without Flash to still be able to play the video.

High-Quality Video playback: Publish high quality videos. Instant playback and seeking without download. Stream to iTunes, set-tops, phones and consoles

Custom Video Players to match your website and corporate branding: One setting that immediately impacts the look of a player is its skin. We can change the colors, dimensions and branding of players to let them perfectly match your website. Control the look, layout and behavior of your video players.

Flexible Playlists: Line up videos to setup online TV channels. Auto-generate playlists by date, subject or popularity. Publish playlists in a player or as RSS feeds (podcasts!).

Should we host our Videos on free Sites?

Yes, and No.
Yes, you should consider uploading videos to these sites. The traffic is phenomenal, and you stand to gain tremendous exposure by making your videos available on these free sites. Unfortunately, what many business owners are uploading their videos to free sites, adding the embed code to their web sites, and then relying entirely on the free sites to host the video.

Videos on your website should be hosted independently for the following reasons:

1. Competitor Web Video Advertising
Video sharing sites are placing advertisements in, after and/or next to your videos.Your competitors are right next to your Videos

2. Poor Video Quality
Free Video sharing web sites are not overly concerned about the playback quality of your video. In order to keep bandwidth costs to a minimum, they must shrink your video file to the lowest possible size, usually to the detriment of your presentation.

3. Your Competitors advertising on Your website
Embedding a video hosted by a free site into your web pages is free advertising for your competitors. People will click on the Video embedded in your site and land on say Youtube where they can now visit all your competitors

4. Limited Video Player control and Features
Most free sites don't let you choose what displays in the video player before it starts playing. Usually, it's just a random frame taken from your video. If you want to entice people to watch your video, you need to be able to pique their curiosity. Free Video sharing  sites also fail to offer any options for adding interactivity to your video players, as well as the ability to customize the player itself.
